Our Mission
Main Street Fort Smith is a nonprofit committed to creating vibrant spaces in downtown Fort Smith through business development, arts and culture, special events, and the promotion of attractive amenities to accelerate development of diverse commerce.
We are the conductor at the intersection where the arts, recreation, entertainment, and lifestyle collide to create a vibrant downtown.



Cocoa Crawl - 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Stroll through downtown and enjoy free hot cocoa at each participating business, explore local shops, and take advantage of holiday specials!
The first 100 guests will receive a free commemorative mug to keep. Pick up your mug at the Main Street Fort Smith office at 411 Garrison Ave. STE 109.
A digital map of all participating stops will be released the week of the event.
Christmas Tree Lighting at Cisterna Park - 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Cisterna Park, Garrison Ave. Gather at Cisterna Park for the official lighting of the Downtown Fort Smith Christmas Tree, with holiday music filling the air and plenty of photo ops to capture the moment.
Enjoy live performances from the River Valley Community Band, Western Arkansas Ballet, and local high school choirs throughout the afternoon.

Main Street Fort Smith is excited to announce a new full-time position focused on growing and supporting downtown Fort Smith through strategic partnerships, business development, and community revitalization.
We're seeking a Downtown Growth & Grants Specialist—a proactive, community-minded professional who will work at the intersection of economic development and historic preservation. This role will support local businesses, research and apply for grant funding, manage special projects, and serve as a key connector between downtown stakeholders.

Downtown Fort Smith Entertainment District
The downtown Fort Smith Entertainment District is where you’ll find some of the city’s best bars, restaurants, and entertainment. From 10am to 2am daily, patrons of the district can leave a restaurant or bar with a single, commercially branded cup of beer, wine, or mixed drink to be consumed within the boundaries of the district.

Amanda Hager
A River Valley native with a deep love of downtown Fort Smith, Amanda brings a decade of media expertise and a knack for creative content to Main Street Fort Smith. She is the go-to for building strong relationships and problem solving with flair.
